Frequently Asked Questions

Can I delete a service?

It is recommended to set the service to Inactive instead of deleting it if the service has been used in authorizations, schedules, visits, billing, or reports.

Can I change a Service Code after billing?

Changes may affect future billing. Historical records are not automatically updated. Review all billing and authorization requirements before making changes.

Can multiple services use the same billing code?

Yes. Multiple internal services may share the same payer billing code when permitted by the payer or state regulations.

What happens if a service becomes Inactive?

The service can no longer be used for new authorizations, schedules, or visits. Existing historical records remain available for reporting and auditing.

What is the difference between Pending and Inactive?

Pending indicates that the service is still being configured and is not yet available for operational use. Inactive indicates that the service was previously available but has been retired from future use.

Can I reactivate an Inactive service?

Yes. Authorized users may reactivate a service after verifying that all service information, billing rules, and rates are correct.

Who can manage services?

Only users with appropriate administrative permissions should create, edit, activate, or deactivate services.

Are Service changes recorded?

Yes. Changes should be tracked through the system Audit Logs to support compliance, operational reviews, and HIPAA auditing requirements.
