Purpose
Performance Trends shows how the overall BSC score and perspective scores change across a twelve-month period. It also surfaces early-warning indicators that may require leadership review.
Trend Components
Current result
Shows the current overall score and selected perspective scores with prior-period comparison.
Movement over time
Compares monthly results for the overall score and Balanced Scorecard perspectives.
Period-by-period values
Provides the exact score for each month and perspective.
Leadership attention
Highlights declining, stable, improving, or at-risk KPI trends.
Review Practice
A single monthly change should be reviewed in context. Leadership should distinguish a temporary variance from a sustained decline and verify whether source data or targets changed during the period.
