AI Operating Principles

Provider isolation

AI context must remain within the authenticated Provider scope. Cross-Provider data access is not permitted.

Human approval

AI recommendations support authorized staff; they do not replace required clinical, compliance, payroll, billing, or administrative approval.

Minimum necessary

Only the information reasonably required for the approved task should be supplied to an AI workflow.

Auditability

Prompts, actions, approvals, outcomes, and exceptions should be traceable through system logs where applicable.

Secure-by-design

AI workflows must respect role permissions, authentication, encryption, retention, and incident-response controls.
